Award of Merit

This is a progression from the Bronze Medallion.

AIM: To establish proficient levels of knowledge, understanding and practical ability in simulated open water rescue situations in a swimming pool.

Candidates need to be 15 years old and able to swim faster and further than for the Bronze Medallion. The Award of Merit - more technically demanding than the Bronze Medallion.

The successful candidate receives a medallion and certificate.
